5 October was World Teachers' Day - an ideal opportunity to recognise the vital contribution that teachers make both to society and to young people's lives. There is no better way to say thank you. Making a nomination is a fantastic way to give teachers, school governors and schools the recognition they deserve. The closing date for the 2009 Teaching Awards is 1 March 2009. To make a nomination, go to the Teaching Awards 2009 website.

The year 9 and 10s on the same night won in a good (if lacking in a little quality) encounter. Both games were in the Lambeth/Southwark League.
