From 1 November 2009 Dunraven School has a brand new website, at www.dunraven-school.org.uk. This site - www.dunraven.net - will remain online for the present but will no longer be updated.

Dunraven PTA meeting
The last meeting was on Tuesday 13 October 2009 in the lower school library, chaired by Joy Andrews (assistant principal) and Michelle Beute (parent governor). You can read the main points by clicking DPTA (left), or here. The next meeting will be on Tuesday 15 December at 6pm in the sixth form building, room 004, to look at the new building proposals and an opportunity to look inside the new gym.

School council
Ms Birbalsingh writes: "An excellent School council meeting this morning (9 October) chaired by Joel and Kamahl. It was fantastic to see the Junior Leadership Team running school council. I just sit at the back, listening to a very orderly and sensible discussion about school issues. We have really talented leaders at the school! Joel and Kamahl handed out the School Council badges at the meeting."

Children in Need
Year 7 are holding a bring and Buy sale again this year, on Wednesday 18 November in lower school dining hall after school.Families are asked to donate as many items as possible that we can sell (but no clothing please) that might appeal to year 7-13 students, or staff!

HPV vaccination programme - update
"In the UK about 3000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer every year and around 400 deaths per year are prevented by the HPV vaccine. Cyberbullying
In November each year, the Anti-Bullying Alliance runs a high-profile Anti-Bullying Week to raise awareness and provide support for schools and local authorities to respond to and prevent bullying. The theme for this year’s campaign is cyberbullying – bullying that occurs via mobile phone or the internet.

Dunraven School will be holding Open Sessions in September 2009 for entry into Year 7 for September 2010. Click here for details of times and dates. The Prospectus, Supplementary Information Form (SIF) and Guidelines to Application will be available at the Open Sessions, to collect from the School Office or to download from our website from 1 September 2009.
