Hi, nice to see that some of you guys are doing well. I still keep in touch with a few of you (Siraj mainly) but unfortunately have lost touch with many other friends. I'm doing great, thanks to all the experiences that have shaped my personality and life so much, not to mention to great teachers and friends that I had. I'll be going on to do a MPhil in Statistical Sciences this year and hope to carry on to a PhD if I'm lucky. We should meet up sometime, Ellen, Cam-Nin, Michael, Anika, Siraj, Jenny, and others. Hello all, Well I thought I leave a message for all ex Dunraveners! I have to say the 5 years at Dunraven was brilliant (now that I can look back at it!). Thanks for all the teachers for making it possible for me to progress onto where I am now. I still see and speak to a few peeps from my year ; Dalvir Kalsi, Damien , Wing Hoe but if there are any others come over and email me and say hello! I work in the music industry now for a music licensing company. Its fun and I love being in the heart of London. Congratulations and good luck to Mr Townsend on his retirement , he was a great head teacher and made the school what it is today.

Having looked through the comments and the Friends Reunited site, there are not many people I remember - I went around with David Sidonio, Jeanne-Marie Aerts, Louise Hatch, Trevor Hodsoll, Mick Doe, Carol Mahurter, Derek & Alison (whose surnames I forget). I also remember Michael Fitzgerald, Subash, Tony Longhurst (all of whom I think were in the year above me). Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me, and perhaps they can jog my memory!

Greetings, remember Carling Black Label aka Muscles? What a lot of memories your various comments have triggered! I had fun in my days at Dunraven - it was such a break from the strictness at home! The names I remember are: Jackie Laird, Melanie Clark, John Czernobaj, Ding Dong Doorbel (who met an untimely death), Simon Fowle, Michael Fitzerald, Annette Toyloy, Barbara Trusty, Arthur Ankara, Yvonne Riley, Janice Tribe, a lovely girl with polio in one leg - who was a natural at needlework, Huda Hudaverdi, Cyril Audibert, and Peter Smith, to name a few. I can also see some faces whose names I've forgotten. I was living in Jamaica until just after the Reunion. Met with Fitz and Annette Toyloy a while back - we had a good chinwag. Went to a party at Simon Fowle's and met Nick Nicola, George, and their sister, plus a few more faces from the old days. It was fun! I now have three daughters: Jaseah (18), Rashida (16) and Soraya (10). My destination is Ethiopia (I am a Ras Tafarian), and I am currently organising myself for this massive move. Love and blessings especially to Mr Bellamy. He was very kind to me at school. Does anyone remember the party he had for our class at his house? It was back in the 'hot pants' days...... I very much agree the comments of Ernest John Smith. His memory of that is amazing as it brought them all back in vivid technicolor for me. Brian Hodgkinson (The Film Teacher) was an excellent man who assigned me to the electrical props on the film set. Lo and behold I became an electrical technician and even worked on film development controls at Rank Film Labs in Acton. Mr H went to the USA and I'd love to know what became of him. I had a great time at Dunraven and can honestly attest that the standard of teaching and education during the 60's was very high indeed.

Since I lived in Mountearl Gardens when I started at Dunraven, I remember waiting to hear the bell ring at Adare Walk and then quickly running across the back to arrive in time. We then went up to the 'big school' in Leigham Court Road - a whole 5 minute walk away. I remember having a terrible school crush on Mr Mendham - since I had a great interest in music, playing 2 instruments. I also remember very fondly Mr Swann - I think his name was - he was the R.E teacher and the head was Mr. Coward. Mrs Lowry was a great inspiration - she was very firm but insured everyone understood what she was talking about. I’m not very good with surnames but remember Irene Arnold, who I still keep in contact with at Christmas and there was also a boy called Grant (who eventually gave me the inspiration to name my son the same) Christine and Veronica. I now live in a village location and have 2 children who are both grown up now and my daughter has given me 3 grandchildren to concentrate on.

Hey people. The only reason I came on here was because I knew crazy people like Kaiesha would leave a message and I was right. Yes, I am married. I was married on 16th October 2003. I have met the man of my dreams and for some reason he wanted to marry me. I am currently in my last year at City university, studying actuarial science and it is haaaaaaaaarrrdddddd. What great days we had!!! I want to thank Ms Emanus who has and always will be a great inspiration to me and for Ms. Whitehorne for keeping me in check and showing us rude black girls that we can make something good of ourselves.

Hey all!! just wanna leave a little message for anyone who might remember me and want to get in touch, it would be nice to hear what people have done with their lives so far. For the last two years I've been working in Blackpool at the famous Blackpool Pleasure Beach theme park, which has been amazing and a great opportunity to gain some work experience. Since leaving and returning to London I have applied for the RAF and am currently in training to join which has been my dream (as some of you might remember) since year 7!!! I spent two years at Dunraven, having moved from Gloucester but because my secondary education was fragmented my memories are patchy. I am pleased it is doing so well nowadays. I know I was placed in Mr Todd's class and I know the headmaster, Mr Dudley Coward, embarrassed me by pulling me out of an exam room whilst I was undoubtedly going to get GCE English Literature. Still don't know the reason to this day. I remember the History teacher, Mr. Hastie, who was surprised I got GCE History and for some unknown reason a Miss Dimoline, tiny in stature, and well-stricken in years, who took English Literature. She looms large in my mind because she used to dance or glide ballet-like, waving her arms about with her eyes closed reciting poetry in chiffon-like clothes that swayed during her performance. I befriended an Umakant Patel whom I have not seen since I left and would love to know what became of him. I returned to Gloucester in 1974.

I have just joined the 21st century i.e. got internet access. It is a long long time since I left but I am happy to see the school still exists. I have been over worked and underpaid at HSBC (formerly Midland) for 20 years. Freaky! WOW, can't believe you guys never told me about this site! SO nice to see these familiar names and hear what's happening in your lives. Studied Diploma In Popular Music and A-Level English. Went on to the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford -BA Hons Contemporary Music. Became interested in Performing arts; Trained in dance, did video shoots for some UK recording artists. Was signed (Recording) then not! Sang on ITV's the X-Factor Sept 2004; and been pursuing suitable recording deal ever since. Shouts to: Rashida and Sabrina.
