The school’s aim is “Excellence
for All†and the governors wish to appoint a candidate of significant ability
and enthusiasm, aware of and stimulated by the challenges and potential of a
successful multi-ethnic co-educational school and keen to share in the unfolding
of the Sixth Form and the 14-19 dimension.
The school
is at an exciting stage of its development.
We were strengthened and encouraged by our OFSTED inspection, which
describes Dunraven as “a good school, with the potential to be outstandingâ€. The full report can be read via our
website. Our results are well above
national averages and represent a positive value-added score. Progress as a school has been marked.
For example:
-
In July 2000 the school was awarded
Technology
Specialist
School status.
-
The Chief Inspector of Schools, in his Annual Report in
2001, named Dunraven School in his list of particularly successful
schools.
-
The
London newspaper The Evening Standard chose
Dunraven
School to receive its London School Award for
outstanding achievement, presented by the then Secretary of State for Education,
the Rt. Hon. David Blunkett, in March 2001.
-
The school received a School Achievement Award in 2002 and
2003.
-
The school was among 32 in the country selected for the
Government’s Transforming the School Workforce Pathfinder Project.
-
The school was awarded Beacon Status in 2002.
-
Our new, purpose-built Sixth Form building opened in
September 2004.
-
In December 2004, we became one of a small number of
schools nationally to be awarded a second specialism, for Mathematics and
Computing.
-
In 2006 we were designated as a
DCSF

Performing
School
